Summary:

Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment and grounds. This position will work Sunday thru Thursday starting at 10:30 PM.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that facilities are maintained in a clean and safe environment.

  • Responsible for the Repair and Maintenance of all machines and equipment installed in the facility, to  include Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electronic controls, such as Conveyor Systems, Shrink Wrap, and PLC's, VFD's, Sensors, Switches and Air Compressors.

  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

  • Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventative maintenance.

  • Ordering of all parts for the packaging equipment and organization and stocking of spare parts including the upkeep of spare parts records.
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation of all repairs, maintenance, and service.

  • Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside contractors.

  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

  • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined 

 

Education:  High School diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:   Minimum of 5 years of Technical training in Electrical and Electronic fields. 5 or more years' experience in Industrial Maintenance and installation of Machines and Equipment is desired.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar and math
  • Considerable knowledge of computer, media, phone, peripheral office equipment and word processing software such as MS Office, etc
  • Learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation. This learning takes place mainly in and on-the-job training setting.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks at one time and able to prioritize accordingly
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contacts, public, etc.
